Hogwarts Express

"Of course!" He smiled.."First in my class!"

She laughed. "Must not have been in my year then, I would've dominated you academically." she joked.

"Sure you would have!"

"Hmm so you doubt my intelligence?" she said, raising her eyebrows with a smile.

"Well...i am much more intelligent than you of course.." he winked.

"We'll have to see about that when the school year starts." she smiled.

Kevin stood up and flicked his wand out of his sleeve.."Why not test you out now?" he said with a smirk.

"We're in a train full of children. I think they might be a little jostled by two professors dueling in the compartment next to them... don't you agree?" she said, remaining in her seat. "I'll take you up on that offer at a later date, though, for sure."

"Oh..that scared to use the students as an excuse eh?" He chuckled and sat next to her. "Oh so pathetic" He winked.

Mildred looks as she slips into the portal to the platform, it seems like just yesterday she was afraid to run into a solid wall. As she checks her bags with the luggage personnel she notices two professors already on the train.

Mildred takes her two parcels and climbs aboard the hogwarts express. she takes in the familiar sounds and scents of the old train. As she passes the compartments she nods to the early students and smiles at the hufflepuffs who are trying to get a good look at their new head of house.

Mildred stops at the compartment with the already boarded professors.

"May I sit with you?" She asks politely.
"I've brought firewhiskey if you say yes"

Mildred smiles.

"Give me one reason I should be afraid of you to the point where I would make excuses to get out of the duel. I was simply thinking of the impressionable students." she said to Kevin, mirroring his wink.

When Mildred entered, she turned, a little surprised. Another professor? She shrugged.

"I don't mind at all, have a seat." she said with a smile.

"We will talk later.." He smiled.

"Ahh dearest Proffesor Mildred, welcome!" He smiled.."I suppose your summer was good! Plenty of firewhiskey parties.." he smirked and looked at her with wanting eyes.

She felt slightly stupid for not knowing the professor that had just entered, though she wasn't sure if she should introduce herself or wait to be introduced.

"Hello to both of you, and forgive me your name is kevin right? From Gryff? I think we went to school the same year."

Mildred pulls out her wand and masks the flask with what would look like a copy of Witchcraft Today.

"Don't worry, it is a spell I created in times like this... the drink is still there, just keeps out nosey onlookers."

"My summer was great!! I got to travel back to Charlotte for holiday. it hasn't changed much there, but i did get to bring back some muggle artifacts for my new classroom."

She reaches into her robe and pulls out a small blue box that has a sweet minty scent to it. Inside of the box she pulls out a small rectangular object wrapped in paper.

"Gum? It is a muggle treat, just don't swallow it, save the paper and replace it when the taste goes away."

Kevin took the gum and scrapped of the foil,"I can use this thin slow buring paper for later!"
