<Annie Cudgeon> 'Hey Tom. We're just going to use the fireplace. See you next time.'

The girls didn't stop for refreshment but Flooed back to their homes after promising each other that they would write. While in the fireplace Emily considered all her purchases and smiled. She had everything now. She had her mother's old dragon hide gloves and her mother's old hat. Her grandmother had made her a black cloak with silver fastenings for Christmas the previous year. So, she had everything and was ready to go to school!

Mildred enters the leaky and takes a seat at the bar.

"I will take a bottle of firewhiskey to go Tom."

<tom> Yes ma'am

Tom, the barkeep brings the bottle and casts an unbreakable charm on the bottle, he bags it and hands it to her.

Mildred pays and leaves.

The Leaky Cauldron

by Mildred Hallows on Sun Sep 07, 2008 3:40 pm

The Leaky Cauldron is a pub and inn for wizards, located on the Muggle street of Charing Cross Road in London, offering food, drinks and rooms to rent. It was founded by Daisy Dodderidge (1467–1555) in 1500 "to serve as a gateway between the non-wizarding world and Diagon Alley." The current barman and innkeeper is a wizard named Tom.

On the main floor, the inn has a bar, several private parlour rooms and a large dining room for guests to dine. On the upper floors, there are a number of rooms available. People often stay at The Leaky Cauldron when they come up to London on shopping trips; there is no mention of other wizarding hotels or inns in Diagon Alley.
